SM1-PE2-PDM6 – 6-Inch Directional Parabolic Dish Microphone
The ETS SM1-PE2-PDM6 is a highly directional 6-inch parabolic dish microphone designed for focused, long-range audio monitoring in indoor and outdoor applications. Its beam-like pickup pattern can be aimed toward sound sources 100 feet or more away, helping isolate desired audio while reducing unwanted sounds from surrounding areas.
Unlike a standard microphone-level parabolic microphone, the SM1-PE2-PDM6 provides a line-level output and incorporates onboard audio processing for demanding surveillance, security, industrial, and remote monitoring applications. Adjustable high- and low-cut filters help reduce unwanted background noise, while an adjustable, low-distortion ALC (Automatic Level Control) circuit regulates output volume for more consistent audio levels.
The microphone features approximately -25 dB attenuation from the sides, allowing it to concentrate audio pickup in the direction it is aimed. An articulating ball-and-swivel mount makes precise positioning easy.
Designed for Indoor & Outdoor Directional Audio
The SM1-PE2-PDM6 features a durable 6-inch white ASA 3D-printed parabolic dish and an IP66-rated design for indoor and outdoor installations. The microphone’s parabolic focal point is positioned deep inside the dish, helping protect the microphone element from rain and snow while also reducing wind noise.
With support for 2-conductor shielded #22 cable runs up to 1,000 feet, the SM1-PE2-PDM6 is well suited for installations where the microphone must be located a significant distance from associated recording, surveillance, or monitoring equipment.
